Codes of Practice 
The information/advice given in this guide is based on the British Standard BS 5385 parts 1 to 5

– the code of practice for wall and floor tiling:

  • Part 1:2009. Design and installation of ceramic, natural stone and mosaic wall tiling in normal internal conditions – Code of practice
  • Part 2:2006. Design and installation of external ceramic wall tiling and mosaics wall tiling in normal conditions –  Code of practice
  • Part 3:2007. Design and installation of internal and external ceramic and mosaic floor tiling in normal conditions. – Code of practice
  • Part 4:2009. Design and installation of ceramic and mosaic tiling in special conditions – Code of practice
  • Part 5:2009. Design and installation of terrazzo, natural stone and agglomerated stone tile and slab flooring – Code of practice
