Timloc Building Products has expanded its extensive roofline product offering with the launch of InVentive roof tile and slate vents.
The East Yorkshire based manufacturer is one of the UK’s leading experts in passive ventilation for the built environment, providing ventilation solutions for the roof space from the eaves up to the roof ridge and everything in between.
Following significant investment, the building products manufacturer has developed a high-quality, comprehensive range of tile and slate vents manufactured onsite at their production facility, along with over 90% of the vast Timloc product range.
InVentive roof tile and slate vents provide ventilation either directly into the roof space or onwards via a ducted ventilation system. The range has been designed to suit profiled, plain, small profiled and non-profiled roof tiles and slates. There is also a universal tile vent option available that incorporates a self-adhesive alternative lead flashing to fit any tile or slate type.
The impact of a changing climate means the energy-efficiency and indoor air quality of new build and existing homes is of paramount importance. To achieve this, efficient ventilation of the roof space is essential.
The 2021 revision to BS 5250: ‘Management of Moisture in Buildings – Code of Practice’ takes on a whole building approach to managing moisture by taking into account the variable interactions of the building fabric, occupants and services used and their combined impact in order to achieve a better understanding of real-world scenarios due to the changing ways that buildings are being constructed and used.
Timloc’s whole-roof offering, which alongside the new InVentive range includes over fascia, eaves and soffit vents and dry ridge and hip systems, prevents excessive humidity in the roof construction and helps to achieve compliance with BS 5250:2021.
The InVentive range has been designed with all types of merchants in mind. Each roof vent is available in single, multi or pallet quantities so anyone from specialist roofing merchants to smaller general builders’ merchants can order the exact quantity and type they require.

The InVentive range is compatible with all major tile and slate manufacturers including Marley, Redland, Sandtoft, Russell and Lagan.
