Cast iron bollards remain popular, but have a number of drawbacks: they are prone to corrosion, they are heavy to lift and they are very expensive to install and replace. The Glasdon Manchester Bollard enables you to replace damaged cast iron bollards with a complementary, low-maintenance solution.

Even with expensive coatings, cast iron will eventually scratch and rust. Glasdon high performance polymers are self-coloured so scratches will not show, and are corrosion resistant – no painting required. Glasdon Manchester Bollard requires minimal maintenance compared to cast iron bollards.
At just 3.5kg (Durapol) / 4kg (Impactapol), Glasdon Manchester Bollards are up to 20 times lighter than cast iron designs, making installation and transport a one-man job.
Cast iron bollards, when struck, may also rip up the pavement surface and cause a pedestrian hazard. Glasdon Manchester Rebound Bollard is made from Impactapol material, which will return to an upright shape after an impact.

The Glasdon Manchester flexible rebound model (Impactapol material) has also been proven passively safe at 100kph (62 mph).
Glasdon Manchester Bollard is available with a choice of two fixings. The LockFast™ Socket System fixing option allows quick and easy bollard top replacement, reducing the need for road closure or costly reinstatement. A Below-Ground Extended Base fixing option is available if required.
The bollard also incorporates recessed areas for decorative banding in Gold, or retroreflective banding in Red White or Yellow.
